Ok, so I sent my form 4 off less than either on the 12th or the 15th and I just found out my check cleared on the 17th. Does this mean the ATF just went into warp drive?
As a coincidence my C&R just recently went up for renewal. I sent the forms in and used a credit card for payment, that took about three days from mailing to show up on my account statement. I also included a copy of my C&R in my form 4 packet, do you think that made a difference? Everything I have read gives a time lie of about 1 month from sending form in to check clearing then another month until stamp arrives. Has anything changed or am I just a lucky SOB?

| Glad to see these post. i sent my paperwork in over a month ago on 4 suppresors and only one check has cleared as of last week. I gave them a call and all I could get was that they were backed up and not giving any estimated time. Even thought mine went in well before the elections they must of had a rush of applications like all areas of the industry... |

Gimmie gimmie gimmie - they LOVE the money. Cash checks with lightning speed... and then the real wait begins. They cashed my last check 3 days after I sent it.
**** New BATF agent: "Oh man!!! I just cleared out 50 aprovals, and it's not even lunch yet! They'll promote me for sure!!" BATF Supervisor: "50 before lunch?? Look...you gotta calm down - there are only a finite number of class III sold and we have to justify our jobs... It's hard enough when a NICS check only takes 10 minutes and we FINALLY were able to justify our 2 months for aprovals, and then you pull this shit! Look... go to the stock room and fill some orders for fingerprint cards until you can get your head right - oh, and take the checks to the bank before you go on break." |
