I picked these Up the other day, Winchester ballistic silvertip, .223 I think that they might be too pretty to shoot.

Anyone used them before??

IIRC, those are just Nosler Ballistic Tips (polycarbonate tips on a hollow-point) that have been moly'd.  The bullets are pretty accurate and a pretty decent hunting round.

Never tried them in my AR, but I use the .243 version. Spits out a 55gr. bullet at a little over 4000fps. Talk about fragmentation! Super accurate, to boot. Coyotes, beware.

You can buy the bullets under the Combined Technologies name (Nosler/Winchester). I bought some of them in 150gr. .308 to reload the 30-06 with. You have to put them in nickel plated brass or it just don't look right

Edited to add these just might be the coolest looking rounds ever!

Yeah, shot them w/my bushmaster shorty last summer. Was able to hit pop cans (3 out of 5) at 200m. (Of course I've had similar results with PMC and PMP FMJ bullets.)
