I ordered a +2 Choate Magazine Extension for one of my 870s. I first had to cut off about a 1/2" of the spring just to get it into the magazine tube. However, once I got the extension screwed on, there is a small gap between the extension and the barrel ring. Its just big enough for the barrel to move, and the little ball bearing on the barrel is not engaging on the extension. It does this without the spring installed also. Is this normal for a Choate extension? I've never seen this with Remington factory extensions or magazine caps. I just need to know because this is looking like its going to be shipped back to Midway. |

I tired putting some CLP on the threads, but it didn't help at all. Instead of possibly buggering the threads, and having to ship the 870 to Remington for repair I just mailed the Choate back to Midway. At least I ordered some Brenneke KO Slugs so the order wasn't a total waste. |
