| How is the bore chromed? Is it done by electroplating? Does material from the bore have to be removed before the application of the chrome to keep the bore in spec. How much does it cost per barrel, not much I would think because Aks have it in them. Thanks for the help. | My limited understanding is that yes, material must be removed to chrome line the bore. This is why it is commented that a ss barrel is slightly more accurate than a chrome lined. There are slight variances in chrome thickness which effects accuracy. For durability, chrome, for pure accuracy, ss. |
