If you're doing it by hand, it seems to be a 2 hour affair no matter what tools & solution you use. PITA!

I wound up buying the Hornady Lock & Load Magnum Ultrasonic cleaner ($225ish) and I use 50/50 Purple Power and water as the cleaning solution. I run the baffles and booster housing for an hour, then scrub off the loosened carbon before putting them back in for another hour. Of course, it still takes 2-3 hours at the max temperature, but I can spend that time cleaning the guns and then move on to other things in the meantime. Since I'm not doing the manual labor for that duration, I figure it saves me time, and time is money. Life is much better now.

Blast cabinet with aluminum media for SS baffles, but soda is better if you need to clean Aluminum.

Or the desk top version if you want small footprint.

A suppressor that took me 1-2 hours to clean ended up taking about 5 minutes with a blast cabinet.  I have the floor standing unit.]

Harbor freight.

I actually just tried 50/50 purple to water and kept just under boil in a cooking pot with a strainer. After 1 hour removed about 50%-75% carbon depending on the baffle. I am putting them in for another hour to see if that removes the rest. I will update with some photos later.

The dip or wet tumbler (with ss pins) will clean it up with no hand labor.
