| Anybody happen to have the dimensions for a Gen 1 cocking handle buffer? I have a lathe and some nylon and dont mind whittling one up. |

Picked up my new 2nd gen GSG-5 today and I've been looking at this buffer mod with interest.
However, I'm pretty much a newbie when it comes to HK-firearms and I was wondering if there was a tutorial or instructions on how to get to the point of disassembling the cocking tube to get the buffer on? Thanks! |

Thanks! -Remove handguards and barrel shroud. -See the 3 screws on that big block underneath the barrel? Remove the top one, and loosen the two on bottom. -Remove the big black screw dangling out the bottom. -Now just hold the weapon with your thighs or a friend, and tug on the cocking tube smoothly forward straight down the bore line. -Pull the handle to lock the bolt back, and move it up to the catch. -There is a small hole on the right side, and in there is a phillips screw. -Remove the screw, the handle will come off and the buffer tube will fall out. Reverse procedure to assemble |

Anyone interested in one for a Gen1 when running the MC-74b laser? I have to imagine that it is different since the laser intrudes into the tube more than just the cap.
I think I'll make one and try it. I think I'll make some normal ones for the Gen1 and Gen2 as well. Cheers! Paul http://www.swarfworks.com |
