I have an old style collabsable stock on a PTR32 SBR and would like the newer F type. Can I just swap out the collapsable part? Or do I have to buy a complete F type and get it modded.

Thanks
Mitch

Are the MP5 f types compattible with a G3 receiver?

The MP5 stock will physically install, but the MP5 stocks only have one pin whereas the G3 has 2. This would not work well when you fired it.

Additionally the G3s/91 series all use a spring loaded buffer in the stock whereas the MP5 uses just a rubber buffer. The G3 bolt would destroy it and destroy the receiver as well.

A good H&K Smith can install the physical "F" stock end into a G3 stock end. I've seen it done once with a standard type A3 with the concave.

The other problem I can foresee with the F stock is the LOP may be a bit short

I tried swapping out a MP5/40 stock fork into a HK33 stock butt plate with ugly results.  Albeit, I am no expert but I suspect that there are internal differences in those stocks between models.
