I'm looking for recommendations for a fairly compact can.

Will be mounted on a 16.25" .308 gas gun.  QD or thread on, doesn't matter.  Looking at the Surefire 763mini. Is there a comparable option in size and performance at a lower price point?  Thanks

I have a 762mini. It is significantly louder than other slightly larger cans, even with Subsonic 300BLK. When shot with Supersonic 300BLK, there is a distinct "un-muffled" report.
I have not tried it on .308 yet.

That said, I was thinking about using the Mini on my SCAR17, opted not to. I think it's cool for Subsonic BLK. I went with the slightly larger AAC SDN-6 for .308.

AAC Mini 7 is pretty comparable, and should be quite a bet less expensive.

But keep in mind that a mini 308 can will still be loud, and nowhere near "hearing safe". The AAC 762-SDN-6 is another can that I would consider "fairly compact". It's about 2 inches shorter than most comparable QD 7.62mm cans, and it's only about 20 ounces, so the weight isn't too bad. The suppression level is fantastic though, and is on par with bigger 7.62 cans from other companies.

TBAC 30PSS.  It's smaller than hell.

5" long, 9.9 ounces.

Tornado Technology Stumpy can....

works well and is small and wide. Does suppression very well.

Shortest I would go would be the N6.  Especially on a gasser.  I'd steer clear of Ti cans unless you restrict yourself to slow fire.

Thanks for the responses guys.  Some of these I have never heard of.  Of course, we've only been legal for about a year and a half now.

Does anyone have a video of the brevis on a 7.62?

I've been looking and can't find anything.
