Stepped off the AR 308 platform when I sold my Armalite several years ago. Several companies have used the DPMS patterned lowers. Pretty much have stayed away from it due to the non compatibility of parts. Has there been more compatibility of parts or is it it still the same?

Yes. You have 4 "main" patterns and a few uniques.

Armalite A

Armalite B

DPMS high

DPMS low

S&W has their own unique barrel IIRC. Ruger might have something to that effect as well but I can't remember for sure.

The DPMS have the bigger aftermarket with the high having more parts because the low pattern is pretty new still
