I called the NFA branch today, and was advised that my Form 4 had an error, and was being sent back for correction.  I addressed this with the SOT, and they advised me that it does not add any time to the process if it gets sent back for corrections.  Is this correct, or are they BSing me?  It seems to me that this would be incorrect, as things have to be mailed back and forth, instead of just approving it.  I just wanted to check with the more knowledgeable experts before calling them on their bullshit, as this is my first NFA item.

your probably within two weeks of having your stamp. once mailed back they approve and send stamp out. no back of the line nonsense

Sorry if I wasn't clear.  My question was if it takes longer to be approved than if no error had been on the form in the first place.

Yes. But it's the 2-weeks mentioned. Instead of being approved now, it gets mailed back and forth and has to get back to the examiner's desk.
