It looks like a nice bag.

Unfortunately, every maker thinks they need to charge 130 to 200 bucks for these types of bag  so I wont be having one any time soon...

I wouldn't buy that.  It may not be as "tactical" looking as some discreet cases, but it stands out big time in a crowd.  How many people do you see walking around town with a huge dufflebag slung on their shoulder?  If you are at a gym, then everyone would have one, but not in the city.

I would much rather have the AR-15 quick take down kit from TAC 2 so that you can fit an AR in a breifcase.

I saw  a guy pull an ar15 carbine out of a bag for baseball bats once, said he had been carrying one around like that for years

I like it but I agree - paying over 100 bucks for even the most extremely well-thought out nylon bag is too steep.

There is always the guitar case made by LWRC.  I love this one.

I planning on using tennis racket or baseball bat bag with some foam cut for it.  I know I can fit my carbine in the racket bag when I separate the upper and lower.

or maybe a golf travel bag:

The problem with bags big enough to carry a rifle in is, everything that big is ALSO worth stealing!  Guitar bag, yup;  Tennis racket, yup;  Baseball bats, yup.

$139!!!!  Damn, I almost spit up my sweet tea seeing that price.  To quote the great song by Gretchen Wilson, "I can buy the same damn thing on a Wal-Mart shelf half price."

That right there is the core of the problem - everyone wants something of perceived "utility" to them, but will not pay for the cost of building said item.  This is especially true of items made in the US (guranteed increase in price) vice overseas.  The same people who say they'd buy US are those who run at the head of the line to buy Chinese!  :D

All the uninformed will see is a bag, it cant possibly  take that much time and effort to build something like this.... so if you want to save yourself some money, go out and build one yourself... i will challenge you to that, I picked up that gauntlet 7 years ago, can anyone else?

all this about baseball bat bags, guitar bags etc.... the POINT of this exercise is NOT to be NOTICED... the FACT is fully assembled AR platforms will lead to bag dimensions that will be IN-ordinate for most situations - truly concealed will require disassembled halves

there is no 2 ways about it

good crimeny, outside of PMC, and LE, if you feel the *need* to conceal an AR, I submit that you have a failure to plan, and that your contingency plan if you have one is likely to fail as well as you are intentionally placing yourself in a bad area without friends with big guns.

I bought one of these as a trial run. Works great for me for right now fits perfectly in my lockbox in the back of my little RAV4 and allows me to carry my rifle or a pistol gripped shotgun in the car easily.
