In my quest to find a battle belt for classes/range fun, I came across some of Crye Precision's offerings.
Does anybody have any info on the Crye Precision Low Profile Belt or the Crye Precision AVS Low Profile Belt?

There doesn't seem to be much info on the on the interwebz. I was wondering would they make a good battle belt setup? They look comfortable from what little I have found, and at ~$190 with belt, not too far off belts like the Brokos, Does anyone have any experience with them? Thanks a lot

I don't know about those two specifically, but I know Crye makes high quality stuff and I don't know anyone who has been disappointed by their gear.

That's why I'm surprised I haven't seen more of these used. They aren't too much more than competitors, and they seem to have a lot going for them. They look comfortable. Not sure there's a glaring issue with it i'm not seeing

I have the crye mrb, I love that belt. If you want to stay lo profile it's perfect. I've ran it in 3 classes so far and it's holding up fine.

The AVS belt is extremely comfortable for long term heavier load use.  Definitely get the suspenders for supreme comfort and weight distribution.  While not as low profile as their Riggers Belt it's super comfy and when loaded with suspenders it's barely noticeable after 6+ hours.  If you just need the basics like pistol holster, couple pistol mags and a couple ar mags then the Riggers Belt will be plenty.  I'm a 34 jeans and am using large AVS belt and Medium MRB

So you have both the MRB and AVS? Which do you prefer? I don't think I need the belt to hold my pants up(my hiking pants have an integrated belt). The AVS looks appealing to me due to the extra padding over the MRB.

The AVS is also appealing since it I decide to go with a plate carrier down the line, I can use the StKSS with an AVS carrier. Are suspenders really a must, or are they fairly comfortable without them? Do they move around a lot when running? Thanks a lot for the feedback

I have no idea how deep your pockets are...

This looks like a nice set up... However at $555 for a layout that I would like, that's way too steep for my blood..

I also have the MRB, that I use at work. Love it. Very comfortable, very stable with the inner Velcro belt.. Only critique is that I recommend you replace the outer belt with something stiffer, I used an ares gear enhanced ranger belt.

You got any pictures? At some point down the road I'd like to replace my ATS with something simpler and less bulky. I'm fairly happy with my ATS belt, but I'd like to cut down to 2 pistol mags, an AR mag and flat lo-pro med kit, along with a holster on a duty drop..

Here's how my MRB is setup. I can wear this in full kit or just plinking around and have everything I need on me in minimalist form.

How is that Taco holding up on that set-up?  I ask because it is attached via the front side but, if it is working no need to change.

It works perfect, I've ran 3 classes in that setup and everything is GTG. I've got another class this weekend and the only thing I'm adding is a pad for the safariland holster.

That looks like a pretty nice setup. Do you think the MRB is better than the low Profile Belt or the AVS Low Profile Belt comfort wise?

It was better for my needs, my whole rig is set up to be really low profile. You wear the inner belt instead of a pants belt and the outer belt velcros to it. Only you can determine how you want to run your gear.

Thanks a lot, your input definitely helped and I'm looking at the MRB a little closer. Since I'm in CA, and I may need to run double shingles in order to carry enough ammo(max 10 round mags). So I'm hoping running a lot of magazines on my belt wouldn't be too much of a strain on the belt and want it to roll over.

Don't knock it till you try it, I have $500+ in my First Spear set up, so $555 is not far off from many added up battle belts here. Obviously, you can go cheaper, but bro, this is Arfcom!!! And the Tac Gear forum

HTC makes some of the nicest shit I've seen, worth every penny if you can afford it.  It also solves the age old 'belt riding up' on you in a lower profile than the MRB.

Couldn't you just buy their double belt for $90, and use your own kydex stuff? Just not bolt them all together in a continuous fashion?

I have several of each cause I hate switching shit all over the place.  I prefer dedicated to a particular task.

Different belts for different jobs.

The suspenders are so minimal but take so much off your hips they are well worth it.  Trust me you wont want the StKSS.  More restricted movement hassle than real solution.  With the harness the AVS loaded is plenty comfortable.

I really like the avs belt for extended or heavier loading due to the comfort keeping in mind that the trade off is bigger profile.  The MRB is great for going light and lower profile.

Running in either one properly rigged without being overloaded is no problem.  Considering the MRB isn't all the expensive, get both and close this thread down.

IF you get the avs carrier I recommend one of these bladders.  Fits 100% perfect in the bladder pocket of the multiple zip on panels available from CRYE

Y'all with MRBs, how does the sizing run? Off pants size, actual measured size, or just Crye wizardry?

Reading their size chart, I am probably right at the top end of medium (34" jeans that fit a pistol IWB), but when I bought my HSGI sure grip I ended up wishing I had gone with a large to gain more real estate.
