I'm not sold on the MOLLE-M(esh) just yet...nice concept but any "hole" you don't fill with a pouch creates a snag hazard. Maybe the Crye's are/will be different.
Now those NOD lids are nice...one of the worst things about an NVG head harness is the "strap feel". |

I don't see how the weight from a set of NODS would be supported primarily by the hat portion. Unless I totally missed something, either the straps are gonna take the weight or that skull cap is gonna grip my head pretty fucking tightly. In the mean-time, I don't need NODS without a helmet. Recon dudes can have that run-around-without-a-helmet nonsense, it ain't for me. |

I would think that the hat part of the harness would ameliorate the feel of the straps...NVG head harnesses aren't very comfortable and can be a PITA to get adjusted just right. LIghter = faster brother! |

Good stuff! . But what I want to see are some bags. Didn't anyone come out with anything new? Well, besides Kifaru and Mystery Ranch? ![]() Eberlestock seems to be hitting the tactical market pretty strongly as of late...our JTACs have some pretty sweet E-stock gear. |

I want some Crye gear, but I just cringe at the thought of paying for it. It is 3-5X the cost of other gear, but I have never tried it. Is it really 3-5 better?
Please tell me no because today I was thinking I needed some all-weather BDU pants. They are $314 from Crye. I have made fun of people for wearing designer jeans and paying $150 for them. I would buy them if they were worth it, but $314? I hear their stuff is top-notch, but I don't have any complaints with my gear other than when it gets wet. Can anybody give me some reasons why I should spend the money on it? Normally the only thing I see on the 'net is "Crye stuff is the shit". That does not seal the deal for me. |

Lots of little features that you won't find in other gear and really well made. If I had the money to blow I'd get it, if I was issued it I'd wear it, but I don't and I'm not so it's Propper for me. |
| The night cap depends on the chin straps for support of the NVGs, just like a normal helmet. the cap portion just distributes the load over a wider area than the skull crusher head harness. the velcro you see on the top are mainly for size adjustment, and there's a strap around the forehead that adjusts in the back, just like some baseball caps. it's obviously not as stable as a helmet, but was designed as an alternative to the skull crusher that could be folded up and put into a shirt pocket. there's a pad right under the shroud for comfort. |

Get some G3 pants and wear them to the range. I guarantee you will not regret the price. |

A dash of camo netting is nothing new either. I used to do that when I paintball'd in high school, in the late 90's.
But a bit up around the goggles, drape it up and back enough to reach your shoulders. Sure was weird to put the mask on, but once you went to ground, it was a real PITA to find me. |
I like how they display all their NV stuff with the quad tube super NODS that the SEALs used during the Osama raid. Every self made operator's gonna approach that like "Those gotta be what, 10k? I can do that, gotta stay high speed!" and then get smacked with the 45-56k price tag, to say nothing of their being LEO/MIL available only
