[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Customizing my 10/22

I picked up a 10/22 a while back and I've got some things switched out.

Boyd Evolution Stock in Nutmeg
Cheap-o 3-9x42 scope
extended mag release

looking to change out the barrel and toss on a bolt extension. I was looking around but damn, too many options.

Volquartsen and Clark were both really nice, but a bit much. What are some lower end barrels?

As for the charging bolt, I'm looking for one that sticks out far. Whats my best bet?

Green Mountain barrels are good and affordable.

I should have thought about that. Had a buddy build up a 10/22 with a GM barrel

Love that gun. I'm a dolt. lol

I bought an Adams & Bennet barrel from Midway. With Thunderbolt .22's, it will shoot a one hole groups at 50 yards. All day, every day. Easy change out from stock barrel to bull barrel.

Got a threaded & fluted GM from Hi-Desert Dog. Good barrel for a good price......
