Anybody out there have any load data and/or results for Vit N160 and Norma 130g HPBT golden target bullets?

Any load info/results for Varget and other bullets would be great too!

Thanks

Only found 1 Norma 130 charge: H4350 43.6 grain 2900 FPS 25"BBL

YMMV.  Start lower on charge and work your way up for your own gear.

Excellent!

My most accurate load so far is 42.5g Vit N160 with Sierra 107g MK <dime size at 100yds, 24"ss barrel –– haven't been able to shoot out further yet.

I have several loads worked up with varget and various Sierra and Hornady bullets

Curious, how consistent are your chrono numbers with varget?

I have a chrono on order but no numbers yet

Thanks for the input

Those are not mine, and

if you are doing a dime at 100 yds,

I probably am not qualified to even talk to you.

Sir, FWIW I currently have a 260 barrel on order, it's due some time this month.  I've done a bit of research on this cartridge to select it as the basis for the build I'm doing with an Armalite AR10 receiver.  I'm curious why you selected the bullets you have.  Have you queried JLK?  7zero1 out.

I selected the 130g Norma Golden targets for the same reason most of us buy things....they were on sale at the gun store  They were <$100 for 500 and they have a pretty good BC (0.564, I think).

The vit. N160 powder was chosen because I bought a box of various powders at an auction and there was 2 pounds in the box.  It just worked out that it shot very well out of my 260.  My other loads with N160 or Varget don't shoot as well as the 42.5g N160 and the 107g Sierra MK but everything is usually under an inch except when I have a bad day.

I have shot several different Hornady bullets as well as several of the Sierra bullets.  My gun seems to like the 107 to 120g bullets at 100 yds.  I have not had much chance to shoot past this but will once spring gets here.

I am shooting really just for fun, plinking I guess so I have been trying lots of different things.  I have been working on hunting loads for deer or varmits also though.

I have not asked too many people for input as everyone has a different opinion and different combinations of powders, bullets, primers, etc... shoot differnt out of each gun/barrel.

I ordered the DPMS a couple years ago (before the election).  The barrel is 24" fluted bull barrel and was cryo treated.  Not sure if this does much.  From a scientific standpoint it sure sounds good.  Anyway, it has been a blast to shoot.

Let us know when your barrel gets in how it shoots
