There are a few options to add rails to your AR.
You can: Add rails to you handguard. ( Remove handguard. Bolt on rails. Reinstall ) Swap your handguard. ( Remove handguard. Reinstall new railed version ) Replace your handguard for a railed unit. ( Remove handguard, delta ring, barrel nut and front sight. Install new barrel nut, handguard. Reinstall front sight. ) It is fairly easy. The hardest part will be the front sight pins. This link has lots of info and pics AR15 How to build your ar LINK Handguards come in four lengths: (Choose the right size for your rifle) pistol - 4.5" carbine - 7" mid-length - 9" rifle - 12" "DISCLAIMER" (For your legal protection) Barrels shorter than 16" need to be NFA registered. Otherwise it is felony. |
