Cmon - I know there's other cheap bastards out there who have tried this combo. The T168 scope should
fit the DSA scope mount which has been modified to the ACOG. Let me know if this will work, and post
pics if you got 'em.

Finally a scope worthy of that dumbass DSA mount. Wish I had thought of that when I reviewed it.

The scope should fit. If not, file it to fit. The big question is, will the scope withstand the recoil of the FAL?  Probably not.

I've got a Tapco stripper clip mount with a T168 on it.  Since I live in PRK and have to load from the top, the T168 is short enough to be able to do that.  So far, the T168 has held up, but haven't got that many rounds on it and sorry, no pics.

FWIW - I got the combo and it seems to be working out just fine. Now granted - I just went to the range and sighted it in, so I don't have any long-term data. I'll keep the post updated. Hopefully, the scope will hold up. It gives a good cheek weld, and the optics are fairly decent. The FAL's recoil isn't that bad due to the weight.

Is your StG58 a DSA gun??

How does that t168 being 6X work for you?  I've thought it might be a bit high magnification for a battle rifle?

VERY Nice looking Combo there Zhukov!!

The Stg is indeed a DSA build - I bought it from DoubleFeed a couple of months ago.

The 6x is not bad - I figure I won't shoot it at anything too close. It is a battle rifle of course, but I've got a G3 clone without optics if I ever feel the need to use irons.

I figure if someone ever comes after me, I'll be killed standing there trying to figure out which rifle to pull out. First, there's the larger issue of which caliber: .223/.308/7.62x39/5.45.39? Then once that's settled, I gotta choose a weapon in that caliber. Decisions, decisions...

I miss that rifle.
