Does anyone own one of the DSA para elite rifles? I ordered  on April 3rd 2009, and still haven't gotten it. I plan on filling out my sbr papers once it shows up and having the 3" flash hider removed. Does anyone know how it is "permanently" attached.

If its not pinned it will be silver soldered.

My Paratactical took 51 weeks May 2008 to May 2009.  Great gun, horrible customer service - checked in on the original due date (Sept 2008) and about every 8 weeks after that.  One got the sense the telephone people were really trying to help but I got a different bizarre status each time. In January 2009, one CS girl apparently went down on the floor to find it and personally find it/verify its build status. Love her but their CS system is way overdue for an update.

Well, how did the flash hider look like it was attached?
Every time I call, I am told 4-6 more weeks.......

DSA uses standard metric muzzle thread 9/16x24 LH with Silver Soldered at the Rear Joint.
Fix: A Modest dose of MAPP Gas torch to remove. (Dull Orange in low lit room)

That is actually not the thread pattern on my barrel  but can't get an answer from DSA what mine is.

Really, that is not very encouraging. I was about to order a muzzle device for it for suppressor mounting. Any idea what thread they might have put on there? Something standard like a ar10 or m1a thread?

Here is the Flash Hider used on the Elite.  9/16x24LH

Edit: Para Tactical Models: Barrel threads are 1/2x28 RH for AR15 A2 Flash Hider.

So, you have to buy an ar15 muzzle accessory, and then bore out the inside to accommodate a .30 cal projectile?

Para Elite Models use standard 9/16x24LH, once removed, any FAL muzzle device will work, such as the Belgian Combo Device & STG58 Stoll FH

Para Tactical Models with Medium Contour barrel, use the 1/2x28 AR15 thread
Yes, you must be mindful of the exit hole when choosing an upgrade flash hider or especially any .223 Muzzle Brake.
Some AR15 5.56 Flash Hiders will accommodate a 9mm/ or.30cal exit hole at the muzzle. .223 Muzzle Brakes & Comps=Caution.
If need be, you can bore them out with a drill press and vise. Not to difficult. Just a pain in the ya know what....
