[ARCHIVED THREAD] - DSA STG58 Austrian FAL

Greetings all,

My dealer has the aforementioned rifle in stock and I was thinking about purchasing it. Unfortunately, I don't know anything about FALs

Is this rifle a good start into the FAL world? FYI...I looked it up on DSAs website and read in the description "very good to excellent barrel" - I'm assuming this is a used parts build rifle by DSA? This is my only hesitation.

Please advise...

Yes, it's a parts build gun. That said, it's probably the best parts gun FAL on the market.

The numbers will most likely not match. No big deal.

How much is it?

The Austrian StG58s, which the DSA rifles are made from, were the very best F A Ls ever built. You will not be disappointed with it.

I have built two F A Ls with StG58 front ends. One for myself and another for a friend. Both of these rifles are exceptionally accurate shooters. This seems to be the rule with Austrian StG58 barreled rifles, rather than the exception.

Thanks for all the feedback! He has is listed at full MSRP - $1,050.00 However, I'm sure I'll be able to get it for under a grand. I'll keep you guys posted...
