Anybody get one of the new US made kits? I ordered one months ago and it is set to ship sometime this week. I can hardly wait. Curious what anybody who has one already thinks of them? Any Pics? |

Damn - over 100 views and NO answers??!! Well, I took the easy way out and ordered a complete DSA PARA instead of a kit - none the less though the parts are the same. Pic posted below... I love mine. Sure I have tweaked it a bit (pistol grip, flash hider and trigger job - not all in the pic above) but its a great set up and the quality is undeniable. Are you getting the PARA top cover (and cutting your upper to PARA specs)? or are you going with the non PARA top cover? You will love your DSA parts and quickly forget about the cost of them....especailly in 2008 ![]() |

I just got my kit assembled yesterday. Got my 21" barrel bobbed back to 18". Just need to torque on the barrel and headspace and I'm almost ready to go. Bought one of the new Entreprise Arms Type 3 recievers. It says SGT58 on the side for the model #, when did they start doing that? |

Thanks for the picture. I can't wait to get this thing together. The parts arrived this morning (3 days after I confirmed my order) but unfortunately it was missing a part so I will have to wait until it arrives to actually get it complete. My rifle has a 16" barrel, I know it will look great with the para stock. I went with the scope mount cover. I want optics on this rifle and I'm happy with the DSArms mount. |
And the nice thing is that the stock and lower count as U.S. parts. Not sure if the bolt carrier is U.S. made, if it is it counts also. So you are at least 2 parts closer to a legal rifle. |
That is one sweet looking rifle. |
It's a factory DSA Para carbine with DSA rail system, Steyr short FS and SAW grip. You can order it that way, and you may as well, since all the DSAs are built to order these days. |
+1 |
QS - What's the barrel length on your para? |
|
^^ Same as mine: 16.25" + FH Here is the current pic ![]() SA-58C Para Type 1 Steyr short flash hider SAW pistol grip GG&G QD front sling mount DSA extended safety DSA carry handle spacer Sledgehammer trigger job and Falcon Arms SS TPR trigger springs Just about the perfect build IMHO... |
Thats a synthetic cover over a metal tube - it helps keep the metal off your skin that way. (very late edit) Notice that the diameter of the upper stock tube is greater than the lower stock tube - this is due to the fact that the upper tube is covered up by a synthetic cover. The 'spacer' between the tubes is also synthetic. The US Galil's that I have seen are also constructed in the same way. (/edit) |
That's really sweet... Pretty rifle! ETA: Then I went on to see yours Quietshooter! Very nice as well! Beautiful rifles... |
Every time I see your PARA it makes me think I should just pony up the $$$ and get a rail forearm and para stock... Really great looking weapon! |
