Does anyone have experience with these carbines? An acquaintence has one and said the trigger is a ittle rough. I don't know if he means gritty, tight or heavy. Has anyone worked on these guns or polished the trigger at all? I was looking at the trigger and although I think the dimensions are smaller then the AR trigger it looks very similar. Any info would be helpful.. Thanks..

The Daewoo trigger parts are interchangable with AR-15 parts.  Swapping them out gives you three USA parts towards your parts count.

My personal experience with the Daewoo trigger is it's as good or better than most stock AR-15 triggers.  If you have one that sucks, swap it out with a US set.

I've heard some folks complain of a bad trigger when they mix Korean and US trigger parts.  I dunno, I've never tried to mix them.  The most logical thing to me would be to run your trigger parts all from one company regardless of it being in an AR or a Daewoo.

The pins are longer on the Daewoo due to the thicker receiver on the Korean rifle, but the springs and other trigger parts are the same.

I'll let the guy know. I assume if the AR trigger is interchangeable then a high end AR trigger would fit too? I assume the Daewoo pins can be used with the AR trigger?

Thanks

You have to use the Daewoo pins but AR trigger groups work.
The TG my Daewoo had was very rough. I dropped in a LMT TG and it is much better.

I put an LWRC in my Daewoo for parts count, and it is much. much worse than the factory Daewoo.

In fact, the factory Daewoo TG is the best AR style trigger I have ever used.

I took the remaining parts and put them in a Ruger Sr556 lower with an extra power 5.45 spring and it was MUCH improved over the stock SR556 parts with xtra power spring.
