Anyone familiar with this boots... Want to use them for hiking etc... Danner Desert TFX |

I wore a pair everyday for a year and half. This boot, with it's light weight and comfortable insole , wears more like a tennis shoe than a traditional military boot. Another nice feature was the full grain leather, it always managed to look clean. Even though this is the cheapest of Danner's hot weather military boots I think it while still hold up well enough for the occasional weekend hike. |
| The next step up would be the Battalion/Marine and then the acadia's. I didn't mean cheapest in a derogatory manner, it's a good well constructed boot. For your use I think you would appreciate the light weight and comfort of the TFX over the durability of the More expensive boots. |
