Hey guys I'm looking for a day pack. I have a LBT 3 day assault pack, and its too big for edc ( roughly 2300 ci) . I used it for school and such, but now its mainly a gym bag, which I already have a separate bag for. I have looked at the Tactical Tailor Assault pack, The GGG assault pack, new ATS raid 2.6 pack, Kifaru E&E, and a few others
I plan on carrying a laptop that has a 15 inch screen, water, snacks, and a few other things I cant think of. I plan on this being a get home bag as well. My part time job is literally a few minutes away, and the farthest I will be going is about 20-30 mins up north 3 times a week. So, my focus is lightweight, and to be a multi purpose pack that can blend in. Do any of you guys have these packs? I am looking to stick to coyote brown or ranger/ foliage green. I dont mind molle, but I dont want it to be all over the pack. I would like for it to pass as a civilian pack. The target rage in size is 1300 or less. Do you guys have experience with these packs? |

I have two of THESE, one as my work/travel/day pack and the other stays in my truck as a "stranded in the desert" pack. You can probably find one cheaper through a dealer. |

I own and have used at least a dozen different packs (including the LBT 3 Day) and my daily pack of choice for classes is Kelty's Peregrine 29. It's the smaller brother of the classic Kelty MAP3500 who's claim to fame is due its use by a certain military group.
Kelty really nailed it on the suspension-- under load, this is one of the most comfortable packs out there. Plus, it doesn't scream "tactical" at all. |
Kelty Redwing is a great little rugged pack with good organization.

I had a kifaru e and e. I don't think a laptop would fit inside it. I have a couple of tactical tailor packs, not sure the exact model you are talking about if you mean the tactical tailor three day plus pack, that's a reasonably large ruck. I like it except wish the belt was removeable.

That's what I noted about the E&E from kifaru. |
