Saw a YouTube video with a guy using a .40 die set to decap his crimped 5.56 brass. Is the pin shorter on the .40 dies? Anyone else try this? Broke a .223 pin a few weeks ago and tryin not to let that happen again.

i use Lee universal decapping die

I use the Lee Universal Die also. Then you don't have to worry about cleaning the brass first, allowing you to get the primer pocket's clean when you do clean.
