Hello all.  I got a call from a friend today who had a question that I was unable to answer.  My friend raises livestock-some special kind of goat to be exact- which are exceedingly expensive, and he is having a problem with cyotes coming onto his propery at night.  He wanted some advice on a good rifle / NV scope combo that he could use to help him with his predator problem.  He has already decided on a basic 20" flat top AR, but was clueless (as am I) about NV scopes.  He is willing to spend around $3500 (must be some expensive goats) on a scope.  The max distance on his property that he might have to take a shot from is approximately 250 yards.  If you guys could give me some advice that I could pass along for a decent scope that would sreve his purposes, I would appreciate it.  Thanks.

D740 or D760 scopes are in that price range in gen3. should do nicely.

now if I only had the bucks

also, if he has money left over, tell him to look up MURs units for intrusion detection,
