What's the best procedure for doing this?  I just got a can of linked .50 BMG and have tried everything I can think of.

I apologize if this is a silly question and I did search for 3 months and saw no subject.

Hold the one below the one you're delinking, and press the one you wanna delink against a table edge.

I asked this same question--in a thread--a couple months ago.

Trial and error seemed to prove pushing the tip of the cartridge against the table.

Worked great.

Wear gloves, and then just twist and pull.

Once you figure out the twist, it gets really easy.

Buy a de-linker if you want to go easy and they are not too expensive. CDNN has one on sale right now for $40 plus $9.99 shipping.  Order some other stuff because the shipping is a one price for anything, one or a hundred.  I'm sure you will find other things you cannot live without.

Easiest way is to cycle them through a M2

You can always just drive a nail into a piece of wood and then set the rounds inbtween it against one of the links then simply twist and pull at the same time then repeat on the next round.

Bring 'em to me...I'll delink 'em in exchange for keeping the links ;)

Delinked 100rds in about 2 minutes last week. No gloves or table involved, just bare hands and a little muscle.

BTW, got a big pile of links I'll never use...

The table method works for me. No real effort at all.

Are you in northern Florida?  I live in Waycross, GA, so I ain't far from the Florida border.

I tried the twist and pull but my arms got tired after awhile, so i used the table method, much easier :)

I'm in Tampa.

Sad thing is, I've got approximately 5 times as much ammo as I have links.  So every time I shoot I have to re-use the same small pile of links over and over, because all of the ammo I've bought has been unlinked.

Use a soft peice of wood 2x4, place tip on it, place one hand on link and other hand on shell next to the one not comeing off and push with both hands. Comes off easy.

Maybe I would trade you my linked ammo for a slightly larger amount of unlinked?

If you'll pay shipping, I'll send you my links. I have a couple hundred links; hate to keep tossing them in the garbage.

I'll pay to ship the links, if he's not interested....
Same for anyone else wanting to get rid of any surplus .50 or .30 links :)
