Ok, so I asked about these awhile back and got very little response. I went ahead and bought one, and installed it on my gun. I will say that their customer service is above top notch! By far the best CS I've had in as long as I remember, and that makes a huge difference.
When I pulled my factory brake off my Scout, I tried to put the adapter on. The adapter would not slide on easy, so a quick call and discussion took place. I was told to press or "tap" it into place. Well, this was a nerve racking thing to go banging with a rubber mallet on a $1500 dollar gun. But, he assured me that it would not hurt anything and it really was easy. A few light taps and it went into place. The muzzle seated good against the adapter and the castle nut was easy to tighten into place. The front sight went on easy, and the set screw was also easy. I threaded my 18T muzzle brake for my 762SD and rock set it into place after timing and checking with the suppressor on for concentric threads. To my eye everything was lined up, and tight. A range session this weekend (which I already posted about) confirmed that I like the mount. I would not hesitate to put this on any M1A if I wanted to change the treads to 5/8x24. This is a much needed accessory for the M1A/M14 platform and I like the fit and finish. Everything was nice and tight, and seems as though the tolerances were very well done. Sorry, I don't have pictures yet, but I will try and post some later when I have a chance. |
