I have this holster

I want to convert it to a drop leg configuration.  What is the difference between these two?  #1 or #2

Is there a better platform out there than the Safarilands that I listed?

I'm not sure but I think this is what you need to convert it over.  I was just looking at these myself.  I think the links you posted are holsters for taser use.  If you scroll down the link I posted you'll see the wrttten description.  I might want to do the same thing but I don't want the double straps, I only need one.

I don't have any experience with these products, just throwing in my .2 cents.

I would very seriously consider the HSGI drop leg...I've been running one "overseas" for going on 6 years now...while I did break two of the SRBs (first was 2 years ago; last was a few months ago and they were both from going prone on them and the first was in extremely cold WX) HSGI replaced them both w/o question.

I don't know why you don't see more of them, but it's the best rig going IMO.

I'm also running two of their modular holsters (essentially the same holster in a MOLLE platform) on plate carriers...one has a couple of years use and the other is BRAND NEW MULTICAM to match our new Eagle carriers.

HSGI HOLSTERS

Here's what I don't like about hard plastic holsters and/or leg platforms:  when you go prone on them or run into something with them, something's gotta give:  they break and/or it hurts...plus they are BULKY IMO.

HSGI makes an adapter version which will fit a kydex holster in their conventional leg platform.

Thanks for that link.  I now see you can use the taser holsters as a regular gun holster.  It would also be lower profile with the one strap, which I prefer too.
