Can anyone tell me if Dvor is a reputable company to purchase gear from?
Two really sweet NV deals I'd like to jump on but have heard from another NV retailer that Dvor should be avoided. Granted he couldn't match the Dvor price but I don't have money to piss away and need to feel confident that sending them $3K isn't sending it into a black hole. I don't have a dog in the retail fight....I do have to pinch my pennies where I can and want to make sure I won't be throwing pennies at an outfit I shouldn't. Much thanks |

Check the link above. Some really nice deals with great prices. Not to mention they are a site sponsor with there own forum in the event of a unlikely issue. 5 year warranty. |

Yes, those do indeed look like great deals on the PVS 14.
I am not looking to purchase a PVS 14. I am looking at a D-760 scope on Dvor for $2300 and wondered if they were a reputable outfit. I will be using the scope on an AR10 and the PVS14 doesn't look like the best option for me. |

I will be using the scope on an AR10 and the PVS14 doesn't look like the best option for me. The recoil of an AR10 exceeds the rated level of the MX10160 tube that the D-760 uses. If you're sticking it on an AR10, then make sure that whoever builds it for you knows that. They might need to select a more suitable tube for that purpose. That's a very easy mistake to make and you might not be covered by warranty.
Even if you're not looking to buy from TNVC, I don't see any harm in calling Vic at TNVC and asking him about the scope and recoil for your purposes. Just be upfront that you've been looking at what Dvor sell and that you were referred to give him a call. He'll probably read this thread anyway, so will know who you are - He can tell you what you need to know from a technical perspective and provide you advice and then let you know what he can offer in the way of products suitable for your requirements. If you like what Vic has, then you can buy from him. If you find the Dvor product is what you're wanting, then at least you buy it knowing about as much as you can know in those circumstances before doing so. Nothing wrong with shopping around and Vic's not going to mind you calling and asking - David. |

Yep, Dvor is part of OpticsPlanet (a sponsor of these forums.) I assure we are in fact good-to-go. And if you ever have any problem or any issue, you can always PM us here and we'll help you out. I do find it interesting that another retailer wouldn't match a price on Dvor, but told you should avoid us. I wonder if he's got some kind of agenda? Anyways, Dvor's backed by OpticsPlanet, one of the 200 largest internet retailers in North America. Give us a shot. Alessandro M. |

A buddy ordered the opmod Sep 1 or 2 well his C card was charged on the second of Sep. not when the item shipped. The opmod arrived 10-2-12 and we tried it out and low and behold it has black fog 1/4th to 1/8 inwards from the outside edge AND A 10 MINUTE BLACK FOG DOT RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE. I sent Chase a IM and he promptly replied stating that it looks like the unit was just out of the thirty day return and he would have to take it up with the warranty department ???????? Well it looks like this opmod was used behind a large minute of angle red dot sight and and ''left a impression" IT APPEARS TO MY BUDDY AND I THAT THE 4 TO 6 WEEKS DELIVERY IS JUST TO RUN OUT THE AVABILTY TO REFUND. A refund was requested because of the appearance of the tube and we already waited a reasonable amount of time for the 1st purchase...HOW LONG WOULD IT TAKE FOR WARRENTY. I took over the unit and already starting using it as a personal NV...not letting hunting guest even look thru it. I did so because I got all of this started. As far as it goes with this company I'm breaking off all future buying and resorting to other companies on this site. Edit; I have several thousand of hours worth of experience using high end optics and rely on such heavily. http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm316/kathydunson/NV006.jpg Looking at the opmod (second from the left) The protective cover is on it, and when we first got the unit it had a durcell battery installed...BUT THE SWITCH WAS AT THE OFF POSITION. Look at all the other units...none of them have covers...because I make sure they get turned off and then are black boxed. The blackend areas are not HIGHLY visable on white/bright backgrounds they stand-out when viewing during normal conditions http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm316/kathydunson/NVdot002.jpg I apologize. You are within your 30 day return period per our return policy. Chase B. |
