Just got my E4 the other day and I am unable to get an ar 20rd mag out.  I inserted the mag and lock the bolt to the rear and hit the bolt release.  Should I send it back to MSAR to is this something I can trouble shoot myself?  Is this a regular thing with the E4?

Like you, I am new to the E4, so I can't tell you what the problem is, but from what I have been reading in other threads, it is best to send MSAR Dave an IM. He seems to do a good job of squaring peeps away with their issues very quickly. Keep us posted on what happens.

While surfing older threads in this section, I stumbled onto this discussion which may be the cause of your problem. Either way, I would stil contact MSARDave about getting it fixed...

Some of the first E4's that got sent out have a sticky mag release.  You can send me your stock or I can send you a really easy fix.  It is just a spring replacement.

Dave,
The E4 stock I bought off of a fellow Arfcommer has the same issue; it is flawless on my PMags (which I mostly use), but on my metal GI Mags...not so much.

I have had to twist/pull the aluminum mags to get them out.  If you're offering, I can do the fix myself.  IM Inbound.
