Hi folks! I just placed an order with Ratworx for some of the on-sale mags and I also got a backorder for the E4 top rail. I was told that the E4 top rail is the same exact length as the top rail for the STG556, just that the height is different. Is this correct? I thought the E4 was was just a bit longer, making it easier to accommodate back up irons. No big deal either way, I was just curious if I'd be able to run a BUIS set when the new E4 rail finally arrives. Thanks in advance! |

Thanks, Tomac, that's what I thought. it looks like it's maybe ~ an inch longer. The folks at ratworx said it was the same length and I figure they knew everything about these rifles. Maybe the difference in length is subtle enough that they didn't notice it? Either way, I look forward to getting it. Mark LaRue replaced my busted ARMS mount with his LT150 and it needs to be sitting on the new E4 rail. rather than chase down Mark to exchange it for the LT152, I decided to make the change to the E4 rail. I'll probably be getting a set of the Magpul sights down the road to round out the package. Thanks again & Merry Christmas! |
