OK, guys, I have a dumb problem.  I have an Eberlestock Gunslinger and the accessory shotgun scabbard, and I am having an issue figuring out how to attach the two.  The problem seems to be that the scabbard has MOLLE webbing, and the pack has one vertical row of loops.  Any suggestions on how to make this work?

Some pictures of what you are talking about would help us figure out a way to attatch it.

Ok, well, my camera seems woefully inadequate to the task of capturing black webbing sewn onto black nylon.  I have taken a dozen pix so far and all of them come out just black on black.  If anyone has any photography suggeations, I am all ears..

So, let me describe some more.  First the pack.  With the pack on my back, there is a single line of nylon webbing that runs vertically from top to bottom, on each side, and is bar-tacked about every two inches.  Thus, the openings in the webbing for attaching things are horizontal, for example, if I were to attach a M16 mag pouch to this webbing in the standard fashion with alice clips, it would be horizontal as I am standing.

The Scabbard has MOLLE type webbing sewn onto it, perpandicular to it's length.  The webbing is oriented such that that same M16 pouch, attached in the standard way, will hang parallel to the scabbard.

Here is a pic stolen from the web illustrating the MOLLE webbing on the side of the Gunslinger, THAT I DO NOT HAVE.  *MY* pack has a single strip of webbing running up and down..

Wow. That's a tough one.

It almost sounds like you've got an older model pack that used an attatchement method other than MOLLE, but I can't imagine what that method might be or how you could adapt MOLLE to it.

I think I'd contact Eberlestock on this one. They should be able to point you toward any conversion products that may be available.

Looking back at the email chain where I bought the pack, the previous owner did mention that it was an older pack, so you are probably right.

I have tried emailing twice from the website, and once replying to the email that I got as my receipt, and haven't gotten any answer yet, that's why I am here...

You might want to try calling, I would imagine there is  customer service rep who could answer your question, or they could transfer you to someone who knows.

Call them, Glen Eberle is a solid dude.  His responses on email are slow, as he's doing mega-business ... No guarantee that he'll give you a new pack or anything, but he might have a solution.

I wouldn't want a new pack or anything, there isn't anything wrong with mine...but I was hoping that I wasn't the only one with an old style pack and a new style scabbard.

OTOH, if somewhere there just happened to be an old style scabbard laying around I would gladly swap...

Got anyone around you that sews?  Add some PALS webbing where you want the scabbard and you're set.

Guy on my team makes most of our gear now...very inexpensively too.

Hell, I could do it if I had a machine, but no joy [unless there is someone in Central Illinois with a HD sewing machine reading this...]

You could send it to Tactical Tailor for modification.
