| I’ve got to tell you, I am REALLY impressed with Ecco machine. I sent a recore to him for some bored cones and to trim skirted cones for proper fit of said cones. I also requested that he index the cones for alignment. They communicated every step of the way in a very prompt manner. Turn around time was great. His machine work is incredibly impressive. Very pleased with how it turned out. Performance was quite better than I expected as well. |

I would have to imagine if he is expanding (from what I saw from an earlier post about looking for help (maybe)) he is going to go through a bitch of a process on finding someone who is on the same level as him. I expect a push back of the estimated time frame I was given and I have ZERO problem with that. I hold QC standards higher that expected time frames. Especially for a mom and pop style shop. Wow, Nick is way faster than I am. I wanna say it took my about an hour for each baffle in my first form 1 can, but I don't have a DRO, either. |

I wish I hadn't pussy footed around and got in que 2 months ago (damn tri lug adapter)...Now being on the wait list, I have no clue as to a time frame. Hopefully I don't get forgotten.

I would say 'update people with a time frame' but I am not going to as people would take that as the word of God. Then he would have people bitching about his business because 'he was not on time!!!'. Takes a lot of balls to stop taking orders to do the right thing. I'm just hoping it gets done before a 2 day class I'm taking at end of September. Be nice to break it in properly with about 1300 rds.  |

I have build a rifle specifically for this can in the time of waiting haha. I know the wait will be worth it. Stamp submitted on 4/15. If I get it back by July 9th, that still beats waiting a whole year everyday and twice on Sunday. I think If I do a 9mm this summer, I will judge the route I take based upon his work load. If he is slammed, I may just try the quiet bore myself. If he is on a good track, I will give him more money! |

I'm currently hanging right around the 2 month mark on recores, been working on stuff from mid-April this week. We did get through enough of the backlog to start taking some stuff in again, but I'm still trying to moderate it to the point that I can spend weekends getting the new shop finished up. We're pretty close, will be able to move machines up as soon as I trench and lay the secondary well circuit, the gas line line, hook up the heater, few other things. I've got full power now and plumbed in all the air lines a couple weekends ago, and hung the 250K BTU heater last weekend, but I don't want to move machines until the heat & water plumbing are done, lest I find myself in trouble come cooler months. It's a large building, and there are just so many things to do to go from dried in structure to functional shop!  And then at some point I have to get this thing hooked up and figure out how to run it!  It's a 1991 Mazak 15M, a 3 axis live tool lathe I scored for a pretty good price that came with a chip conveyor and bar feeder Unloading it was fun! It's a 9,400 pound machine, and even with 1,300 lbs of steel blocks on the back of my V80, it was still tippy, so I strapped it down to the front of my duece for insurance. Delivery driver thought I was nuts, was sure he was either gonna see bad stuff happen or end up stuck here waiting on other machines to unload. Nope! Out in these parts, we find ways to get it done with what we have, and he was unloaded of the machine, conveyor and bar feeder in less than an hour. The old CAT wasn't super happy about the over max load, but she grunted through.  |

@Sixtysixdeuce Must be a good feeling having enough business to support a project like that, congrats.  As far as my project goes, I guess I’m one if the unlucky ones. It took too long to get my trilug adapter. I guess I will hear from you some time in the fall. Edit: I am officially eating crow, Nick called to straighten me out. I was on the golden ticket list. Nick, the shop that helped me drill the end cap used a muzak (mazak? spelling?) machine just like that. If the hole is not concentric, well shit haha. That is what I am sweating the most about. I think we used a .26 bit. Super bad ass though man, I like watching people truly living the American dream. |

They pulled a bigger bit out first but I was worried so we tried to do the smallest hole they could. I already have the itch to do a second can and I dont even have the first one back! |

That’s not hard when you can get an efile F1 in a month or less and a recore in about the same time. Beats waiting the F4 wait times. There is a guy who sells 17-4 or Ti K baffles for the quiet bore kit. I am thinking of doing a .45 can. Besides my .22's I only have 5.56 and 9mm after getting rid of Ak's and 45's. Decided to REALLY consolidate lately. I will do a .45 after another user suggested there is not much difference in db. Besides I might want a FNX tac back in my life. |

I sent nick the first silencer I made. Rimfire and about 7 years old. I had $30 in it for the engraving I paid for. It was a super ghetto monocore I made on a drill press. It worked OK on rifles but it was horrible on pistols. He spruced it up for around $350. It was $$ because my engraved tube was a bare tube with no threads or endcaps, so he had to thread it and make endcaps. So in the end it cost similar to what a mid-range commercial silencer would cost. I'm pretty happy with it and it works 100x better on pistols than my work did. Already thinking about how to have him rebuild my next one. I have a nearly decade old form 1 I never built for a 12inch 45 caliber that I intended to build To pin onto a short rifle barrel to avoid sbr hassles. Torn between a lever action, a big bore ar, or an mpx. What's sad is this made me realize how many unfinished form 1 I have! Attached File |

Probably quieter if it's the 30cal bore. The weight, with the 1/2-28 direct thread Omni mount, it was 1lb 7oz in stock configuration. 1lb 2.6oz after recore, consider it has 7 baffles and a blast diffuser compare to 5 baffles and no diffuser from factory.

Nick is doing a coaxial for me. He sent me the tube/end cap/mount. I test fitted and poked a hole in the end and had the NFA engraving done. Sent it back about week ago. Waiting my turn but excited to hear the results. Going to do a comparison between it and my Hybrid.  |
