| Which version of CIRAS does the Marine Corps use? I'm sure I heard from somewhere that Force Recon uses the Land version but what about MARSOC? And also, do regular Marine infantry get issued the CIRAS? If so, which one? |
| MARSOC gets issued gear from SOCOM, their supply chains are different than Force or Recon. For regular fleet issue, we get the SPC for a plate carrier. There is a new version out that I don't have yet. If you go back a page or two you will find a review of the new CIF issued gear including the new SPC. I have the older SPC and I love it. |

SF Marines get the maritime CIRAS. Recon has the land version, I've seen some ANGLICO Marines with the land version as well. I've seen some Marsoc guys with the land version but I can't say for sure if they are issued a maritime as well. "SF Marines"? I thought that MARSOC was the Marines "SF"? |
| the CIRAS is called FSBE 2 there have been bith version issued to the recon battalions, and Force Recon Companies. FAST platoons also get the FSBE 2 in the land configuration. MARSOC is now getting issued the RAV from BAE. As for infantry you might see it depends on how they get them some guys get them from FAST folks or buy there own. But they are not regular to see thats for sure. |
