Elzetta is pleased to unveil our new and affordable ZSM Flashlight Mount for Tactical Shotguns. The new Elzetta ZSM fits Remington 870, Mossberg 500/590, and many other shotguns with at least 1 3/4" free space on the magazine tube and barrel. The ZSM may be mounted to either side of the shotgun and is made from the same durable polymer used in our popular Elzetta ZFH1500. Every Elzetta ZSM comes with Sizing Adapters, giving the Flashlight Mount the ability to hold flashlights from 0.70 to 1.05 inches in diameter (we, of course, recommend our 235-lumen Elzetta ZFL-M60 LED Flashlights). Additionally, every Elzetta ZSM includes Gauge Adapters that allow it to be used with 20-guage and .410 shotguns. Retail price for the standard ZSM is $39.95. A Thumb Screw version is available for $46.95 which allows installation and removal of flashlights without tools. Like everything Elzetta sells, the ZSM is Made in the USA with a limited lifetime warranty. Available now for pre-order with an anticipated ship date of November 29, 2010.   |

Looks like a well made product. But for a pump shotgun a brl or mag tube mounted light is less than ideal. Kinda hard to operate the swith and work the pump at the same time unless you have a 8" long thumb.
The integrated forend will always be the best option for a pump gun because you hand stays on the lights controls at all times during operation of the pump. |

I believe the intention was to leave the light switched on, rather than momentary use while working the action. And unless Surefire wants to drop the price on their fore ends by about 50%, this is a viable option. |
