I have heard that it is possible to extend and thread an existing barrel.  How is this done and who can do it?  I am asking because I have a great candidate for suppression - a Steyr GB which is very accurate and has a fixed barrel.  Unfortunately the availability of aftermarket barrels is non-existent.

Does anyone have a picture of an extended and threaded barrel?

Take the original barrel, put in lathe, turn barrel down in diameter and thread,  Build extension that has girl threads on one end, and boy threads on the other end and has the same outside diameter as the original barrel.
