Does anyone make an extended or perhaps a larger mag release lever for the FAL

The regular mil issue size seems a little small to me.

The Izzy release is my favorite; it protrudes and is rounded/knurled. The inch release is also a good choice, it is wider.

I installed an FSE extended mag release and am very pleased with it.  Arizona Response Systems usually has them for sale

You can use a catch from a L1A1 inch rifle. You will need the catch and the retaining screw. It is like a big paddle. I am a lefty and it makes it easy fo rme to just push it forward with my trigger finger to drop a mag but for right handers it is much easier to use then the small metric one.

The Izzy mag-release lever is the best.

I prefer the inch mag releases.  As noted you need a new screw also...oh yeah, and a longer spring or a short piece of something to make up the difference in length.

Here's the one that came on my DSA STG 58.  I can hit it easily with my trigger finger.

I use the FSE extended mag release .

It's wide flat surface is easier to hit without looking for it .

I do recommend filing the point of the corner though,so you don't stab yourself
with the corner when your in a hurry.

I've heard that newer versions come with a smoother corner.

I like all my stuff to be usable with gloves for winter .

I prefer:
FSE Extended mag release,DSA semi-auto only selector,
and a wide foot bottom bolt release

I made my own ambidextrous mag release using an Inch release as a basis.

I made mine so it would extend back more than down.
