CJ, I have seen one labled "Sporter II Carbine" The "carbine" is kinda small and nothing like the CC "Colt Carbine" markings. the Sporter II part is correct, I am unsure if ALL were marked "Carbine" Hmmmmmmm Don Francis says: "That brings use to the Sporter II carbine(R-6420). In the early guns these changes from the SP1's were seen. Barrel with 1in7" twist Square front sight post finger-grooved pistol grip A2 style delta ring Nylon buttstock Forward assist went the same as for the R6500, with defector humps also seen." biggame, both of those 6420's have the exact same markings, if the word "Carbine" is on the rifle it must be hidden, i am going to call the owner & Colt today & inquire more deeply, this really bums me out, i thot i found two jewels, but they are just "different" 6420 Colts or did someone change the lowers ? who is Don F. ? |
