| I have a DSA SA 58 with the factory bipod attached to the barrel. I want to remove it so I took it to the funshop I purchased it from. They tried to remove it with the proper castle nut tool but could not budge it. Any suggestions? |

Not the quick detach version. I would know if it was. They said they had the castle nut tool and tried it but it would not come off I would like to see them do it again. The tool has an amazing amount of bite and with a wratcheting handle, a huge amount of torque- enough to bust the whole thing. I'm guessing that something was done wrong. Did they heat it? What if DSA (or somebody) used locktite? Did they soak it in oil or breakfree? Did you see the tool yourself? Does it fit properly? Did they use wratchet or other extension handle for force? Did they get afraid they'd bust their precious tool and quit? Is the castle nut staked? |
