More fun trying to ID guns of the Syrian rebels... any ideas on original buyer of this FAL or do the sights alone make this an impossible question? (non-metric sights)

Most of the Syrian and Libyan FALs I've seen were of the standard Belgian 50.00 variety. Throw in a handful of Israeli light-barrel FALs to the Syrian rebels and you get a weird, but typical, mix of Middle Eastern weaponry.

The aperture on this one is the standard metric type. Also, Inch type rear sight bases have the aperture stop pin offset to the left a bit.
