30rnd M16 pouches work just dandy with the divider cut out. M14 pouches are good to go and I would love find another batch of good ones somewhere. I still kick myself for only buying three of them.

You may be able to find these at fun shows and other places- They are Canadian with internal divider and lifters.

The Canadian nylon pouches are the best GI types available, although becoming more expensive.  IIRC Sarco sells them now for about $15 ea.
The M1956 USGI canvas Pouch, Ammunition, Universal is all right, but cotton absorbs water, the tab closure is a PITA, and good ones are becoming scarce.  Unused ones are legit collector's items.
The LC-2 Alice 3x30 rd nylon pouch is ubiquitous, cheap, and easy to find in good or better condition.  Just cut out the dividers, and put a small rectangle of closed cell foam (or two) like that found in USGI sleeping pads in the bottom of the pouch to make the mags sit at the right height, and reduce rattles. Don't forget to punch drain holes in the foam; a .45 ACP case is perfect.
Civvie Mag pouches are available from quality vendors, like Lightfighter.  They are unquestionably among the best, but you will pay for that quality, too.

I like the leather twin pacs I got from DSA.  The thong closure is a pain at times but they will last a while and provide pretty good protection.

If you want to carry more than two try this one.
I got one last week and it's nice and strong.
