Is there a difference in quality in FAL mags? I've seen Israeli mags, Austrian which seem fairly prevalent.

I have a metric DSA FAL on hold at my FFL and am looking for some additional mags.

Not really.

The aluminum mags are a bit more fragile than steel, but seem to work OK.

What fook said is spot on. All the FAL mags I've used have been reliable. Really boils down to price and condition.

There is no appreciable difference in quality between military surplus F A L magazines.
