| When buying metric mags, is any one place of origin better quality than any other? I am reading that Belgium mags are the gold standard. Is there any truth to this ? |
|
If someone offered me Belgian mags at $20 apiece or Imbel mags at $15, I'd take the Imbel mags all day. I don't think there's really enough difference in quality to command a significantly higher price. If the difference between mags is insignificant, then sure, go ahead and buy what floats your boat, but I wouldn't worry that one country's mag is substandard.
FWIW, I prefer Israeli mags, followed by the Steyrs with the witness holes, but my range mags are almost all well-worn Imbels. |

Well, that's good to know then...I've got mostly Israeli with a few Imbels and Belgies mixed in.
