DSA , Imbel, Enterprise. In that order. DSA's are the most expensive for a reason. They are perfection.

You forgot Dan Coonan (DCI) receivers. Just got mine. Initially their first batch was out of spec, but looks like the later batch (like mine) are pretty good. Mine went on after sanding the barrel shoulder of my IMBEL build.

My gunsmith who builds FALs HATEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES the new DCi deceivers. Massive timing issues.

I'd stick with a DSA.

What about older pacific armament receivers?  I found a PAC/Imbel gun locally for $900, and it looks to be in good shape...

Is that the gear logo receiver?

If so I have one and it is just fine.  I also have one of the Imbel R1A1 receivers and it is just fine too.

Get a DSA type 2 and be done with it,  purists will say type 1 is correct for a G1 kit though.   That would either be a DSA type 1 or an IMBEL type 1.

Just get a DSA, they are cheaper, not more expensive than the IMBELS.   And they count as one US made part.

It is the gear logo-  I'll have to go back in there and check it out further, it had the long fh with what looked like some kind of cut off on it, possibly for a grenade launcher?  Looked like a G1 flashhider...  How can I tell what other kind of parts it might have?

The gear logo's cost a bit more back in the day and were supposedly better heat treated than the non-logo receivers.  Honestly, it seems a bit high to me but I only paid $300 for my rifle.  With today's prices and demand I guess that it is not out of the norm though.  If the kit is in decent shape it might be worth it though.

check the DSA website - I hear they are going to do a run of the G1 marked receivers

DSA or a Gear Logo Imbel.
