Any suggestions on what forward mounted scope I should use on my FAL.Thinking about an EOTECH but undecided on model.

railed handguards on the FALs aren't exactly the most stable things ever made....you'll be seeing quite a bit of POI change every shot.....don't expect it to make head shots at 100 yds. They're made for flashlights, bipods, VFGs....not optics. My DSA is wearing DSA's rails. When I hold the VFG, it flexes about 1/32" just from picking it up, and it won't get any tighter. eta: forward rail mount? Maybe I'm just not understanding what you're talking about.....I don't know of any rails other than the DSA (and similar) dust cover rails and the DSA railed handguards.....is there something new on the market that I haven't seen yet? |

I agree that you'll probably need to run n optic from a dustcover rail system that can be bolted down to the receiver. Optics on the fal forward rail systems aren't the most stable. I run a POSP 6x42 WD on mine with a RDP-II from Vic. Good luck! |
