All, Anyone have a link they can post so that I can make sure I have the proper sight picture when sighting in my new STG58? Also what is recommended BSZ for the 21" rifle version? 300yd? If it is 300yd, what shorter distance can I use with 147gr. FMJ for the same zero? Thanks for your help. |

The sight picture is the same as any other military style peep sight - center the top of the front sight in your peep sight, and use a 6 o'clock hold on your target from there... In other words, hold so that your target is just sitting on top of your front sight, and make sure they're both centered in your peep sight... As for a zero, my Imbel build has settings from 200 meters to 600 meters, and a good starting point for aquiring a 200 yard zero is a zero at 35 yards... Also, approx. 2" high at 100 yards should be pretty close to a 200 yard zero... Lastly, metric sights will usually adjust as follows: 1 click equals 1cm(about 3/8 of an inch) @100 meters - for both elevation and windage... Hope this helps, and wasn't too confusing - maybe someone else can explain it better... - georgestrings |
