I took this rifle to the range yesterday for a bullet test. I shot five shots at 100 yards with iron sights with the Argentine, the Indian, the US, and three shots with my handloads and with the FNM. I only used three shots on two targets because that was all I had. I was mostly trying to see how bad the Indian surplus was. I used the led sled for a rest. Seeing as how these groups were shot with iron sights, an 11 1/2 lb trigger,  and 55 year old eyes, this test would have been better if shot by someone younger with better eyes. I shot all of the bullets at the same shoot n see target so I transfered the holes to these targets to make it less cluttered.

Awesome looking fal!  Just turned 52 and use reading glasses to see the sights clearly. This means the target is always blurry at 100yds.
When working up a load, I usually turn the gas plug to off. One less variable and I'm not searching for brass. Looks like your handloads are right on.

Hard to tell because you can't compare a 3 shot group and a 5 shot group.

I would say these groups are just about right for a FAL type rifle. I have two IMBEL ,metric rifles. One shots 2MOA with quality ammo the other between 3 and 4 MOA. 3 to 4 MOA is standard for these rifles. I got lucky with the one. The Argentine and Indian ammo are not the best. Any Argentine I have fired is very inconsistent. The Indian ammo depends on the year of manufacture. Do some research on the Indian ammo, some lots imported were blowing up rifles. I would chronograph the WRA and work your hand loads to them. Keeping in the 9-10 ring at 100 yards is pretty good. I  understand the eye problems. Just had cataracts removed from my eyes. Hopefully I can see my sights better.  By the way the L1A1 is the sexiest of the FAL rifles
