Has anyone ever heard of or seen on?
Thinking of making one (from a striped reciver and para lower w/ stock cut off and probly a 11" bbl)but don't know if it is practical.
I have seen the SBR FAL's and reports are that they are manigiable, but I don't know if that is w/ stock folded or extended?

I'll trade you I have an Inch Indian lower that you maybe interested in for such a weapon.  But the only way to build it as a pistol is to use an 80% receiver and the mark it as a pistol.  If I'm wrong then someone please correct me.  This would void the need to register it as a SBR.  Of course you would not want or legally be able to sell the reciever once you made it for your own use.

I don't have any of the parts yet I would like to know it can be done befor I spend quite a bit of money on a project. The inch reciver would limit the type of pistol grip you could have .

You would only have to use a receiver that had never been assembled as a rifle.  (ie. never had a buttstock installed.)  A new stripped lower would fit the bill.  Also as this would be a pistol you would not need any us parts for compliance.  You could not however have a verticle forward grip.

That is the only thing I have seen on fal pistols.  There is a lot of talk on Ak pistols too.
