Shot my FAR-50 today after installing Millet LRS-1 scope and YHM handguard and Harris Bipod. All worked flawlessly, and I shot a real nice group at a measley 100 yards, shooting 647 grain ball and WC 860 powder, CCI 35 primers. I am totally satisfied with my rifle now with 5.5 pound JP trigger. I have Mark 1 and understand how to use it and it is a great value for what I have in it. I have the first 36" barrel and was too impatient to wait for the Mark 2 muzzle brake so installed Armalite brake. Recoil is no issue at all, never been touched by the scope, I have about 150 rounds through it now. I am very happy with the accuracy. I actually shot as good a group as I did with my 17 Remington today, so the gun is definitely doing it's share. SO far so good on the Millet scope, seems as bright and sharp as the Burris, I am a little worried about the rings, but we shall see how they do in time. Thanks Chris for your hard work!

Probably an ideal post to be located under the already running "Review" thread.

Any mods req'd to use the Armalite brake?

Any idea of what a "real nice group" is, ie number of shots, group size center to center, distance shot (100 yds I see), powder charge, etc?  That might help folks that are just getting these guns to have a good idea of where to go with a load.

Also, what kinda rings do you have that you are concerned about?  Also curious why the YHM Handguard and Harris pod?

You only have one reasonable choice for rings for the LRS-1:  the ones shipped with the scope.  AFAIK, those are the only 35mm rings out there right now.  So far they've held up on my Windrunner, FWIW.
