I have one of these rifles paid 900 about 7 years ago was thinking of tradin it or selling it. It is built with hk part (not the knock offs) with a serial # of less than 800.  Anyone know a good market price on these? It has been very accurate for me but I have got the 6.8 bug and need to part with it. Thanks in advance.

FA91 cast aluminum receiver rifles hasn't been all that popular among other HK clones, I think the avarage going price for one is about $300.  $400 max.

I feel your pain Sigadvantage.  I bought one that was made by Federal Arms for $600 in 1998 when they were the only HK clone on the market (The stamped Springfield Armory SAR-8s were effectively out of my price range).   It's been 100% reliable and as accurate as I can expect a roller-locked combat rifle to be.  After seeing posts about poorly timed cocking systems, bent this and that, and general POS'ness of the newer HK91 clones, I am still happy with my rifle, since it has been good to me, and I didn't have to get it re-worked to mostly functional status after I bought it.

People were having bad experiences with the cast reciever guns sold by Springfield Armory, but I have never heard a problem about the rifles sold by Federal Arms, maybe it's a question of build quality.

So, expect the "clone purists" to tell you it is not "ginuine fake leather" like the newer HK91 clones, and unfortunately this will affect your rifles resale value, since I think most people would want to buy a clone that looks exactly like a HK91.  I'm keeping mine, because I can't justify buying a stamped HK91 clone in addition to it.

Edited: paging Harlan at FAC...

I too paid out  the out the ass for mine, it's a good gun though. I've fired hundreds of rounds and yet to have a hickup....the ejected brass is a little nasty looking though

FAC (Federal Arms) made the receiver, but did not do assembly of rifles. Most rifles with FA91 receivers were assembled by Century, who claims to never have had a return based on an issue with the receiver.
Springfield did employ the alloy receiver in assembling a run of model SAR-8 rifles, but reported problems had nothing to do with the receiver.

I got a FA91 quite few years back never fired it though.. I noticed the parts on mine appeared to be worn. The finish on areas of the barrel were almost worn down to the bare metal and I noticed the loading lever housing was dinged and bent in areas. I'm a little concerned about taking it out. I shelled out about 800 bones for mine.

I love my FA-91 (See Urban Camo post)
1,000's of round, never a failure to eject and it can throw an empty case about 40'.
